Spice Japan has announced the relased of their new purpose built 1:10 scale drift chassis, called the Desire SRD-01. 

This chassis is similar to most purpose built drift chassis in the market now. 

It features a mid-ship motor mount for better balance. 

One of the most unique features of this chassis is the variable castor adjustments. 

Spice has announced the release date of this chassis in May of 2011.

Spice Japan has been producing vintage drift bodies, drift rims and tires for a number of years now. 

The company is more popular in Japan than the international community. 

This is their first attempt at a drift specific chassis so it will be interesting to see the end result. The chassis is will be a carbon plastic composite type materials and features very little in alloy hopups, much like the Street Jam OTA-R31. 

With features like adjustable castor angle and up to 10º of camber out of the box it looks promising. 

Since it is a carbon reinforced plastic composite material, it should be relatively inexpensive.

Spice has officially announced the relase of this chassis to be May 25, 2011 at the price of ¥25,800 Yen.
